PDO Threads

PDO threads are a sterile, single-use, polydioxanone biodegradable suture in a cannula. They are made of a flexible and durable absorbable polymer. PDO threads offer a high safety profile, complete absorption, and minimal tissue reaction. The PDO thread generates tensing fibrosis in the surrounding tissue. They are embedded subdermally using a cannula and are dissolved and broken down by the body within 3–6 months. Placing threads subdermally initiates collagen production in the treatment area, which leads to
increased volume and skin tightening overtime with effects lasting up to 24 months.

There are two categories of V Soft PDO Threads:
Smooth threads are great for patients looking for basic skin rejuvenation and tightening. Smooth threads are mono-filament sutures placed in an ultra-thin walled, sharp cannula. The treatment area is marked depending on the patient’s goals, and the number of smooth threads to be used is determined. Most areas require anywhere between 3–20 threads, depending on the treatment surface area.

Lifting threads are great for patients looking for a nonsurgical, immediate face lift and long-term collagen stimulation. The lifting threads come as barbed or molded. Barbed threads have laser cut bi-directional “barbs.” These barbs are what engage in the tissue in order to lift the skin. Molded threads tend to be stronger and are best used in patients with heavier tissue. All lifting threads are within either a sharp or blunt tipped cannula. Sharp cannulas are ultra-sharp, thin-walled cannulas, and recommended for their ease of use. They are great to initially train on as they can navigate the correct plane with ease. Blunt cannulas are more difficult to use, however skilled injectors tend to prefer these over sharp cannulas because they often cause less bleeding and bruising over sharp cannulas.

Weight Loss Injections

Semaglutide is a medication initially developed for managing type 2 diabetes. It has shown efficacy in promoting weight loss and has been studied for this purpose. The drug works by regulating appetite and reducing calorie intake. Semaglutide may offer an option for those struggling with obesity or overweight conditions.

Semaglutide works by mimicking the effects of a naturally occurring hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1).

Here’s how it functions:

GLP-1 Receptor Activation: Semaglutide binds to GLP-1 receptors in the body, particularly in the pancreas.
Insulin Release: This binding stimulates the release of insulin from the pancreas. Insulin helps regulate blood sugar levels by facilitating the uptake of glucose by cells.
Glucose Regulation: Semaglutide reduces the production of glucagon, another hormone that increases blood sugar. This helps lower blood sugar levels.
Appetite Regulation: GLP-1 receptor activation in the brain can lead to reduced appetite and increased feelings of fullness. This effect contributes to weight loss in individuals using semaglutide for this purpose.
Slowing Gastric Emptying: Semaglutide slows down the emptying of the stomach, leading to a prolonged feeling of fullness after meals.

In summary, semaglutide helps regulate blood sugar levels, reduces appetite, and promotes weight loss by mimicking the actions of GLP-1 in the body.

Lasers therapy can be an effective part of an acne treatment. A series of treatments may be necessary, and visible results may take time. The doctor will work with you to come up with a personalized course of treatment just for you.

Age and Sun Spots

While we all need some sun exposure and the Vitamin D it provides, many of us often soak up too much, resulting in sun damage that takes the form of age and sun spots. The doctor will discuss your options with you during your initial consultation. Factors contributing to your need for age and sun spot treatments include your age, health, and medical history; the severity of skin damage; type of skin damage; your tolerance for specific treatments, procedures or skin care products and your opinions and preferences.

Spider Veins/Facial Veins

Many American men and women deal with visible and unsightly veins and blood vessels on their face and/or legs.  A focused beam of light targets the spider vein selected for treatment. VeinLaze utilizes intense pulses of infrared light to destroy the vein, which is reabsorbed into the body, disappearing over time.

Razor Burn/Bumps

As summer quickly approaches, we want you to be comfortable in lighter clothing and take the opportunity to get into a swimsuit and head to the beach whenever possible. Wouldn’t it be great not to have to worry about shaving, waxing or plucking before heading out? Save yourself time and discomfort by scheduling laser hair removal today! Laser therapy can help to clear up problem skin, including skin afflicted by razor burn and razor bumps, while restoring smooth suppleness and reducing redness and blotchiness.

Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Fine lines and wrinkles are bound to affect everyone at some point in their lives. Age is just a number, and it is truly what is inside that counts, so we want to help you look the age you feel. A serum used in a facial or a peel may be what’s best for you if you have fine lines. Deeper wrinkles may call for skin tightening using a laser to warm the skin and encourage the production of collagen. We offer several options for reducing fine lines and wrinkles, and the doctor can help you choose the best procedure for you during your initial consultation.

Large Pore Reduction

Some skin issues are difficult to deal with, and others are quite simple. We can quickly and easily help you clean out and tighten up those pores, restoring the youthful glow you once had when you had all the time in the world to take care of your skin. During your consultation, you will be given options based on your skin care needs. Once a course of treatment is chosen and performed, your skin will begin to become smooth, tightening the tissues and cleaning the pores. The pores will close naturally after this procedure.
